Asheville "Scene " Around Town Photo Series- "Storm and Lace Curtains"

Here is a good question for you. Think about your answer before you tell me your answer...

WHEN was the last time you remember lace curtains flying at the window as a summer storm rolled in? the time when you last really felt  the thunderclaps, the lightning raising warnings of the clash, as if a battle were at hand, and all Nature had a way of letting go?  the time you last ran for shelter from the storm as the great trees trembled in the winds, and lace curtains counted the cycles?

The last time for me was today.

janeAnne -- Alll of that and more, execpt for the lace curtains!  Last year we have electrifying storms day after day in So. New Hampshire.  It was incredible.

JaneAnne, I wish we would see some storms.  Shoot I would even be glad to show in the rain and showing in the rain is not something I like to do.  If this keeps up we are going to be on water rationing.

janeAnne, unfortunately not often enough for us!  We so need a good thunderstorm with heavy and steady rain and winds to cool us off! Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi janeAnne - all of those, except for the lace curtains blowing in the wind, very recently.  We've been having tons of rain here lately, and a few rainstorms have come accompanied with thunder and lightening, scary lightening.

I am looking at my lace curtains, not blowing in the breeze as the windows aren't open where the lace curtains are.  But I can envision that happening, just as in your picture.

I love a good thunderstorm.  We should have one by the weekend!

JaneAnne - I grew up in Taiwan and we have those tropical storms.  The sky gets dark, wind blows, clouds swirl.  The storm rolls in and the rain pours down along with thunders and lightnings.  I absolutely love that and miss that.  We got that when we were in Indiana and Kansas and the northesters on Long Island.  Not much happenings like that in Marin County.  I miss that big time!
