I'm not sure how it works in your state, but here Georgia Power Co. will pay any homeowner or small business up to $250 for their home to be audited by any BPI (Building Performance Institute) accredited energy auditor. I monitor the agencies that use the stimulus funds to weatherize here in Georgia, and I will say that it is not hard or expensive to reduce your energy consumption by 20%-50%. It all begins with the audit!
