( 77% ) of those polled considered having sidewalks a top priority in terms of deciding where they’d like to live. And sixty percent (60%) said they would rather live in a neighborhood that featured:

businesses within an easy walk

I've heard that more people are wanting side walks. With the price of gas I can see why people would like things within walking distance.
