White Hair Overnight from Fright?

I've heard that your hair can turn white overnight from fright. Have you?  They say it is not true, but IAsheville Rains on the Mountains looks like mine turned a shade or three lighter just this morning.

More White Hair Myths

I looked out the cabin window to discover, after last night's torrential rainstorm, a deep and ominous-looking cleft carved in the hillside....

Water run-off takes the line of least resistance.

I can say that without a shadow of a doubt as I regard our rain-soaked slope today.  True, our road needs a wee bit of old-fashioned TLC. Time to remove obstacles – fallen branches and tumbled debris.

Time to fill in the mighty ruts. Time to control the flow of water that can affect those downstream.

Mountain Road Planning and Development- I readily will admit that some of this repair work could have been avoided with the site design and construction expertise of David Tuch. “Even the best laid plans can go awry without proper site controls, documentation, and construction oversight, “ David  tells us. His company,  Equinox Environmentalfurnishes necessary construction details and documents such as sediment and erosion control plans, grading plans, construction details and specifications.

But today I am not so sure if the myth about white hair turning that way overnight may not be a myth at all. . ..(just kidding.)

In terms of directions for the future. . .when my hair really turns white I hope that it will be a symbol of wisdom and foresight (not fright )  even when it comes to site-planning. When I think aobut "White Hair" in the larger sense,  it seems to me it has to be more about a positive and  conscious influence, a vibrant and enduring excellence.. . .  And  a “New” Vision of Aging  that includes the acceptance of an advanced curriculum in kindness toward yourself and others and the land upon which we all live....

Janeanne - Scary stuff! Glad there was no damage to the cabin. And oh by the way, my hair turned grey when I got into Real Estate!

Wow,

we didn't get any of that on our side of the mountain.  I do understand what you are saying about the roadways. I'm going to private email you some questions about  shopping  and restaurants in Asheville.

I have heard stress will turn your hair grey, but not fright.  Hmmm, now where did I put my hair color?

janeAnne - sure hope you find a way to control the water run-off.  We too live be a mountain and folks don't realize that even in a desert there can be serious issues with a micro burst or really heavy monsoon rain. A for white hair....we'll all get there at some point!
