We have been fortunate to have interested "green" clients visiting us in Asheville this year. Many Have chosen to be close in (within 10 minutes of downtown Asheville0 but some prefer to be within a 30 minute drive...as HNF is. Even so, this building site is just 5 minutes from a CSA!
JT~
Good point! The renewable energy aspects of this green community are one of the most fascinating pieces to the sustainability factor.
Don~
THANKS for the kind words. When real estate professionals have superior opportunities to represent, it's easy to shine =)
Debbie~
YES! This building site, in particular, has a unique quality in that it could be a live/work build opportunity. The conservation neighborhood is carved out from a 250AC Preserve...The eco-development is on just 25 AC...only 17 sites...8 are available, the rest are sold...the first home will be going up this Fall...and the community Center is also scheduled for the coming months.
John~
Glad you like the photos. It is a very special place here in the mountains.
Hi JaneAnne ~ what a beautiful place to build a sustainable home! As you know I love the idea of a net zero community! You have put together a very compelling presentation of this property. I am anxiously following this and can't wait for the new healthy built homes to be built!
I have seen this lot, and it is a beauty. Great access, with frontage on magical Hickory Nut Creek. Someone is going to love it.
These are really great shots. I'm headed to Burnsville for vacation in a little over a week. That might be me sittin' in that chair!
Vicki
Unique, Eco...and Great -- 3 great words to describe Hickory Nut Forest. Thank you janeAnne for such a wonderful post
